Preclinical Services
Our Preclinical Services include in vitro and in vivo studies that span lead optimization during discovery to non-clinical studies in rodent and non-rodent species that support drug development through Phase III. We provide a wide range of toxicology and laboratory services that meet global regulatory standards, and are experts at bridging safety assessments for entry into human trials.
Clinical Services
Our Clinical Services span from first-in-human studies to proof-of-concept to all the clinical pharmacology studies required before approval, including supporting studies such as driving simulation and QT assessments. Altasciences is a recognized leader in conducting first-in-human studies in both healthy normal volunteers and patient populations, with both small and large molecules.

Altasciences Announces Launch of New Brand and Website
Laval, Quebec, Feb. 12, 2019 – Altasciences, a mid-size CRO specializing in a flexible, innovative approach to providing comprehensive early stage drug development, including preclinical, clinical, bioanalysis, and research services, has unveiled a new brand identity and website. Altasciences’ companies are now further united under the Altasciences brand.
Feedback from our clients and third parties made it clear that our current brand identity did not fully convey the company’s personable and flexible approach, capabilities, expertise and, in particular, the efforts put in to integrating their capabilities and sites with the goal of providing a coordinated approach to early phase development. As a result, Altasciences has aligned its brand with who they are and what they do: Moving in Unison to deliver big impact with a personal touch.

The new identity has been fully rolled out in a revamped company website.

Pharmacokinetics in Special Populations
Benefit from our long and relevant experience to create the most efficient study design, and quickly fill the panel with the special population to meet your objectives. We design, conduct, analyze, and report on pharmacokinetic studies in special populations, either as stand-alone studies or cohorts within larger, healthy normal volunteer studies.
We know it is often vital, depending on the indication, for safety and efficacy to observe the pharmacokinetics in different BMIs, genders, or ages. We have the team in place to overcome the challenge of recruiting healthy participants without conflicting concomitant medications, or populations with higher BMIs, or increasing age.
The recruiting teams across our clinics have robust databases to work from, with over 350,000 participants, and are also experts at participant outreach to continually add to our database. We deliver the patient access and relevant expertise you need.
